The Nikon D700 and Camp Hydaway

It's been a while since I last posted here! I've just recently been doing more photo shoots since college has been keeping me busy.
Last month I was offered the position of being a second shooter at a wedding on the 13th (tomorrow!) The photographer is Jessica Cortes and her work is absolutely amazing. (you can check out her photography here!) I talked to her about renting cameras and other things, and so I made the decision to rent a full frame camera because I have wanted one for a while now. I went to cardinal camera on Wednesday and rented the Nikon D700. I am absolutely in love with this camera and will be purchasing a full frame camera sometime in the near future. It is so worth investing in. After I rented it, a few friends and I went to Camp Hydway to test it out, and got some great shots. Here are a few that I took:

A Cold Shoot in February

So this is a shoot from last month, but it's one of my favorites! I met up with Griffin for the first time to take some pictures together; he's a photographer also. He was such a good model and the pictures turned out great! We just went around campus and took pictures around the chapel area.We were both freezing by the end of it, that was absolute insanity but thankfully that doesn't show in the pictures!

Just 'cause and springy weather!

Well I'm finally on spring break, and oh does it feel like spring! I've missed having warm photo shoots, I can only handle taking so many pictures when it's freezing cold outside. On Sunday, my best friend and photography partner went on a little photo shoot for an hour or so.The weather is starting to get warmer (praise The Lord!!) and daylight savings began, so I'm still getting used to going out at the right time for shoots again! It was a little too bright, but we still got some great shots. I'll just post a few of my favorites.

I absolutely loved the colors in this shoot. Sasha had a cute red dress on that made her blue eyes pop even more than usual!
